- In 1951 the population in K. was 1,7 Million, it has more than tripled in 66 years.
- In 2017 by Febr. 23 already 23 881 (452 newborn per day).
- The mortality rate is high (UNICEF date 2009). Infant mortality is still high and this is one of the most sensitive indicators of the level of poverty in a given country

- The educational level is high. 99,52% of the adult population is literate.
- The level of poverty is still high, in the rural population up to 50%.

Deaf/severely hearing impaired
- Based on > 150.000 newborn p.a. statistically there should be around 150 children born severely hearing impaired / deaf p.a.
- As there is no neonatal hearing screening reliable information is not available.
- The question is, whether these children have a chance to attend school (mainstream is not an option).

- We have now already 9 children with Nucleus Cochlear Implant in the country:
- Ajdina, Bata, Jegor, Dastan, Tschyngyz, Bayaman, Ajmen, Maksat and Elnur.
- Another 5 will get their CI March 2 / 3, 2017 : Aibek, Ainura, Nadira, Alina and Ailun.
