Christiane Bischoff is a PORA expert who will speak on ‘Activities and Outcomes in Children with Cochlear Implants in Comparison with Hearing Peers’ during the November 29th PORA! webinar, and on December 13th in the forum discussion.
Dr. Christiane Bischoff is a speech language pathologist specializing in hearing-impaired pedagogy. In 1999 she graduated from Heidelberg University, and went on to do research and enhance her qualifications in Varmin-Mazur University in Olsztyn, Poland. She has also participated in international projects under Dr. Prof. Horsch.
From 2004 to 2008 Dr. Bischoff taught in inclusive classes in specialized schools for hearing-impaired children all over Germany. She also taught in a consultancy service for hearing-impaired children and adolescents in Hegau-Bodensee. Since 2009 she has been heading the Department for early pedagogy, the Department for pre-school education and the children-parent group at the Stegen educational center for the hearing impaired in Germany.
Since 2010 Christiane has been Associate Professor for the German Academy of Public Service working for the Freiburg speech education school. In 2013 she received her PhD degree from Heidelberg University. She has authored numerous publications and made speeches in national and international congresses on early pedagogy, inclusion and early development.
