At the age of three, he lost his hearing after contracting bacterial meningitis.<\/div>\n<div>With the support of his parents, Dr Bodo Bertram and the early intervention center in Friedberg, he learned to hear and speak again.<\/div>\n<div>With his cochlear implant, he was able to attend a regular school.<\/div>\n<div>He then completed an apprenticeship as a communications electronics technician and studied at the University of Applied Sciences Gie\u00dfen Friedberg.<\/div>\n<div>He graduated with a B.Eng. in Microsystems Technology and Electronics.<\/div>\n<div>In 2007, he received his second Cochlear Implant in Frankfurt a.M..<\/div>\n<div>During his studies, he met his future wife and moved to Vienna in 2009 to live with her.<\/div>\n<div>From 2011-2013 Tobias completed a part-time Master&#8217;s degree in Innovation and Technology Management with the title MSc.<\/div>\n<div>Since 2009 he has been working for an aerospace company as a systems engineer.<\/div>\n<p>In his spare time, he provides support to other CI users and hearing impaired people.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pr\u00e4sident der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecig.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00d6CIG <\/a>(\u00d6sterreichische Cochlea Implantat Gesellschaft)<\/li>\n<li>1.Vizepr\u00e4sident der <a href=\"https:\/\/eurociu.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EURO-CIU<\/a> (Europ\u00e4ische Vereinigung der CI-Nutzer)\n<p>&#8212;-<br \/>\n<span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"de\"><span class=\"ChMk0b JxVs2d jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Tobias Fischer war das erste Kind in Deutschland, das ein multikanales Cochlea-Implantat erhielt. Die Operation wurde 1988 von Prof. Ernst Lehnhardt durchgef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"de\"><span class=\"ChMk0b JxVs2d jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Tobias wurde 1984 in Wetzlar geboren. Im Alter von drei Jahren verlor er sein Geh\u00f6r, nachdem er an einer bakteriellen Meningitis erkrankte. Mit Unterst\u00fctzung seiner Eltern, Dr. Bodo Bertram und dem Fr\u00fchf\u00f6rderungszentrum in Friedberg lernte er wieder h\u00f6ren und sprechen. Mit seinem Cochlea-Implantat konnte er eine regul\u00e4re Schule besuchen. Anschlie\u00dfend absolvierte er eine Ausbildung zum Nachrichtenelektroniker und studierte an der Fachhochschule Gie\u00dfen Friedberg. Er schloss mit einem Bachelor in Mikrosystemtechnik und Elektronik ab. 2007 erhielt er in Frankfurt am Main sein zweites Cochlea-Implantat. W\u00e4hrend seines Studiums lernte er seine zuk\u00fcnftige Frau kennen und zog 2009 nach Wien, um mit ihr zusammenzuleben. <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"ChMk0b JxVs2d jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Von 2011-2013 absolvierte Tobias ein berufsbegleitendes Masterstudium im Bereich Innovations- und Technologiemanagement. Seit 2009 arbeitet er als Systemingenieur bei einem Unternehmen der Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie.
