Robert Mandara<\/strong>, 54<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span>British but living in Finland since 1996. Born with congenital sensorineural deafness.
\nFirst hearing aid at age 4, with tinnitus starting at around the same time.
\nAttended mainstream school and university \u2013 Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Employed as a Senior Technical Writer.
\nRight ear was implanted in 2014 and the left ear in 2016, with Cochlear brand implant and N6 processors.
\nActive CI advocate: Vice-President of EURO-CIU since 2019, a full member of CIICA<\/a>, peer support person in Finland, volunteer at European Friendship Week for young CI users.<\/p>\n
