Medicus preventive measures against the spread of the Corona virus

Registering patients for medical appointments – consultants call patients 24h before the appointment and they ask about the symptoms of Covid-19 and travels within the last 14 days. If a person has been travelled to areas of increased threat (Italy, France, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Spain) OR a patient is showing one of the symptoms, the appointment is cancelled, and a person is advised on what to do next according to the indications of the Ministry of Health..
The building is signposted according to the recommendations of WHO, local experts and the government (there is only one entrance to the building, and a separated entrance for people with the suspicion of contagion). There are infographics at the entrance, in the elevators and consulting rooms on how to act when in suspision of a virus contaigon.
At the main entrance to the building (the only one) there is a checkpoint with obligatory hand disinfection and body temperature measurement. Patients who refuse to be checked are not allowed to the clinic. The one who has body temperature above 38 C are also asked to leave the clinic and seek help in the hospital dedicated to Covid-19 patients.
At the checkpoints, reception desks and local café shop there are plexiglass windows, increasing the safety of both patients and employees. There is only 1 or 2 stations at the reception desk open (there is 4 slots there)
The ward is closed for visitors (unless a patient is a minor – then there is one caretaker allowed).
Underground parking is closed for patients’ use.
There are many disinfection stations at the clinic, together with the instruction on how to use disinfection fluid properly.the building.

Medical employees are wearing protective clothing, face masks and googles.
We introduced a possibility of online/tele appointment with doctors.
Patients with planned surgeries are checked with additional medical interview and confirmed a day before the surgery.
Children’s space is closed.
We resign from using tablet system to call a patient into consulting rooms.7. There are many disinfection stations at the clinic, together with the instruction on how to use disinfection fluid properly.the building.
There are additional cleaning and disinfection procedures – common surfaces, desks, computer mouses and buttons/panels are disinfect every hour.
The Clinic has limited operating hours: 8-18, and is closed on Weekends.
All the employees received a SARS-Cov2 protocol with procedures changed according to a threat and had to confirm that they’ve read it carefully and that they would act according to what’s in the protocol.
All the restrictions from the government are applied immediately.
