Good evening to all,
who have met and contributed to this outstanding event in Tbilisi to honor our estimated friend George.

Monika and I hope, all of you have well returned back home, such as we did yesterday evening.

Let me refer to some topics related to sustainability and improving cooperation, discussed in Tbilisi in smaller groups.

1. One consideration is to set up an easy online content tool (Anniversary Blog) to collect the photos, videos, congratulations, etc. made by the participants and the presentation slides of the International Conference as well. Anna Nikolaeva spontaneously  confirmed being ready to support the  uploads, what she is doing in her Instagran account anyway. And this might be the case for many participants, aside Vigen, etc.

I will setup a basic install within the next days, invite you for an easy sign-up and draft a shortguide.

Of course it is a pity we did´nt make recordings of the excellent presentations. But maybe some would be ready to redo it now. I would be happy to give technical assistance as far as needed and coordinate it.

2. This leads to another consideration to overcome the actual threshold for local cooperation. We could call the situation a “Pandemia 2” and we could apply some lessons learned in Pandemia1:

My proposal and offer to George is to organize a state-of-the art “hybrid conference section” of maybe 2h on the occasion of his planned Suzdal conference mid of September. “Hybrid”  means fully integrated online and local presentations and discussion. So technically going beyond the “local or online” setting such as in Tbilisi.

Maybe 2 or three of the Tbilisi presentations might fit into this “hybrid slot” in Suzdal and so would cover idea 1 and 2.

Within the Anniversary Blog there will be a section to discuss the “hybrid slot” idea.

Please expect my further information and let me know your basic approach and ideas.

Greetings, from Monika as well,
kind regards,
Michael

Dear  Monika and Michael, dear all

First of all great thanks and congratulations to George and his team for this extraordinary event and generous hospitality we have been treated during the Tbilisi days.
We have been quite successful in flying back home and I am replying to this email already from my office in Bratislava. George, Natasha and all the Moscow group were not so happy since their flight to Yerevan was delayed significantly due to closing sky over Yerevan (and I do not know what was the final solution).
Yes I agree with the collection of our presentations and I am sending my slides to Anna to be translated into Russian.
I will also check the situation of what is going on with the processors used by those who received a new one as a regular exchange.
With friendly regards
Milan

Dear Michael, Dear Monika, dear FRIENDS!

First of all I’d like to thank you coming to Tbilisi and great support that was the key to the success of our Conference,
I fully agree with the collection of presentations and photos and will be happy to start discussions and work on your proposals, Michael.
PS. We finally were landed in Moscow at 4:00 am… due to technical problems with the plane which we used from Tbilisi to Erevan.

Once again thank you so much1

Kind regards,
Natasha and George

Dear All,

I fully agree – excellent idea!
I will have the text of my presentation and the text on the slides translated into Russian as well.
It is then up to George/Michael which version (English and/or Russian) will be uploaded.
Waiting for Milan to let me know whether there is a chance to get refurbished / used speech processors
and how we can organize ourselves.
I think we are missing Desiderio Passali in our correspondence
Michael please add him in future mails.
We also need to contact the three speakers who were online: Shelly Chadha, David Kemp and G. O´Donoghue.
Kind regards
Monika

  1. Dear Anna,
thank you very much for your update.
It is more than clear, you are a very busy lady.
We would highly appreciate if you get also involved in our charity activities –
you remember we talked about this.
We are collecting refurbished speech processors, hearing aids and accessories and
provide them to people in need.
    Let us keep in touch!

  2. Dear Anna,

thank you very much for your kind comment and your supportive approach ! It was a great pleasure to come to know you in Tbilisi and I am looking forward with great pleasure to cooperate with you in drafting the Sites content.
Unfortunately I am short of expertised assistants at present so it needs some patience.
Maybe a fixed time for a weekly status meeting will be useful. I will make a proposal.

    kind regards,
    Michael
